No words

It was unbelievable.

I am of course talking about the Christmas Concert, and our last performance in Minneapolis in particular. If you could walk out of that place and not be moved in ANY way, I give up on human kind. After our Psalm 150 I was so out of it that I didn't remember all the words on our next song. Tears were building up both during and after the song, my body was trembling, and sweat was running down my back. I have never sung with such passion and emotion in my life. Maybe our concert in Stockholm with Voci Florens comes close, but still, that one song just took me over the top!

It has been straining, my voice was not happy Monday morning after out last concert in Moorhead, but then we had Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off from singing to recuperate, and that was very nice. After last night though, my voice was a little shabby, but it's back to normal today. We didn't have a very good warm-up, and although I tried to do some on my own, it still was a little shaky. And two concerts in a row - well, for me who can't hold back, it's kind of tough, hehe. And sometimes you just forget to u se technique and just go for LOUD, haha. But it's all good ;)

Now, about my trip to Minneapolis!
After a 4-hour busdrive down we got settled in at the hotel, which was very nice :) We had the evening free, so some went out, some stayed in, personally we spent 1,5 hours waiting for a pizza, and when it FINALLY arrived, we got it for free of course, hehe. So we ate pizza, bought some AWESOME mikshakes and went to bed.

"Bright and glorius is the sky", got up early to go for breakfast at "Key's", a very nice place not too far from our hotel. Had a HUGE meal, wasn't able to eat again until 4.30, so I loaded myself with a blueberry pancake, hashbrowns with veggies, scrambeled eggs and a couple of toasts. I was still full after two hours had passed, haha.
Then we rehearsed at Orchestra Hall, the location pf our concert, and then went shopping for a little while. Not knowing we would go from breakfast to rehearsal to shopping, I was wearing WAY to high heals (we were told to dress up during our entire stay), so my feet hurt like hell when we finally got back to the hotel. There we had a simple but very nice dinner and BROWNIES for dessert, hihi... And some cookies of course, haha. After that it was time to get ready for our concerts, so we changed and ran over to Orchestra Hall, which is just by the hotel.
Our first concert was pretty good, but the last concert... As I said, it was unbelieveable. There are a lot of seniors in the choirs, meaning this is their last year in College. So of course this would also be their last Christmas Concert. So the emotions were hanging in the air, heavy like rain, and during Psalm 150 they all came out. Pouring, like I have never experienced before. We all gave 110% or more, me included. It was just... amazing. We recorded both of these concerts I think, so I guess the best performances of our songs will be selected. I can't wait!!!! :D:D
Bustrip home was early, hot and painful because my whole body was swollen from all the walking in wrong shoes and standing up and down for so long. Au. But we got safely!

Now, here are some pictures!
